    Just doing some pie browsing and came across this lovely...good alternative to a wedding cake if you ask me.

    I love pork pies. Very scrummy indeed.

    Those pictures have got my stomach rumbling. Can you believe it you can’t get pork pies over here in the Netherlands, in fact pies of any description. I used to make my own pork pies when I lived in England.

    Come home now, Nikki. We have pies, proper sausages and real fish & chips fried in beef dripping:yum:yum:yum:yum:yum - well, around here we do. Darn sarf (and in lesser parts of the UK) they use oil FFS!:eek: Weirdos!:scream:

    Well pies are in sight. I’m currently on the ferry to Hull for a quick weekend. Got to try to fit in fish and chips somehow.

    Oh yes I know Yorkshire fish and chips are the best. When I used to live in West Breton, there was an awesome fish and chip place a mile or two away. AND the butcher in the village used to make his own pork pies and sausages which were to die for.

    There's a nice farm shop near Garforth that makes great pork pies. Nice meat, not too much jelly and thinish pastry.... yum!
    Often call on the way out and stick one in each of my bike jacket pockets ;)

    How's the New Years diets coming on then lads?

    I think personally I'm doing well, I've lost one whole pound already

    BonnieCat if you are in Hull and looking for fish and chips. There is fancy chippy restaurant near the marina called Papas. Quality and quantity.
