I have a 2013 Thunderbird Storm, it uses a key only no fob required. Does your bike crank over but not start or not crank over? You might want to check all electrical connections.

Most bikes nowadays need the clutch in to start them, just a safety mechanism to prevent you trying to start it with a gear selected. TBH I hadn't even considered that you hadn't, sometimes the simple answers are the right ones. Glad you got it sorted.

Glad you got it sorted out, I thought about that after I posted but I'm so used to pulling in the clutch I thought that would be kind of " muscle memory". Like Helmut visor said ,some times it's the simple things
