My son has a 16 plate 675R, in the latest black colour which I think is known as ‘Phantom Black’. He dropped it at the end of last year and has been slowly putting it back together this year.
He has encountered 2 problems which are preventing him getting it back on the road. The first is getting the tank painted. Because it is a ‘matt colour’, most paint shops are afraid to touch it because of anticipated issues in getting the perfect finish, they say.
We live in the Chester area. Can anyone recommend a paintshop that will take this job on, before we have to consider packing it up and couriering it to wherever. Anywhere in Cheshire, Wirral, North Wales etc would be near enough.
The second problem is, in dropping his bike, he lost the small ‘piston’ like part which sits between the clutch lever and housing into the master cylinder. As Brembo’s are fitted, this part is apparently unique to this set up, but sadly comes only with the whole replacement master cylinder. Does anyone know of an alternative supplier of this small part to save purchasing the entire master cylinder
    Many thanks
