Daytona 675 13' Onwards Seat Lock Cable And Bracket Fitment

So im not sure this is in the correct part of the forum, apologies if it isnt. So basically I stumbled across somebody who had converted their Street triple rear end into a daytona one (basically as standard on an RX triple) and i love it so decided to collect all the parts and give it a bash!
Was test fitting yesterday and i struggled to fit the LH panel which has the seat lock cable connected, once the bracket was on the bike it was almost as if the cable was too short, stopping me from clipping in the bottom of the LH fairing into the undertray . Im not sure if i should have possibly been more forceful however i didnt fancy breaking anything!

What im actually after is anybody who could give me a bit of advice as to how to fit it! Will post pictures of before and after once ive completed it and had it painted!
