    Hi all.
I've recently bought a daytona 600 (2003.) I'm wondering if any other owners can tell me what gear they use to go round small roundabouts and junctions. I ask because at slow speeds, usually in first gear, the bike almost stops due to lack of power. On my old bike (gsxr 600) the momentum used to carry me around corners fine, I've never had a bike do this before but I thought it might be a common problem with this particular bike. If anyone has any idea what the problem could be please let me know.
    Thanks.
    -Robbie W.

Lack of power or lack of revs? What's the revs at idle? The other thing is it's a different bike so riding style might have to adapt.

Hi Robbie and welcome to the Triumph Playground.

First question: once the engine is warmed up, what speed (rpm) does the engine tick over at?

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Agree with the above - what's the RPM at idle?
If it has almost no power in first gear something sounds wrong.
