    Evening All,

Thought I’d share a quick post regarding the datatool S4 alarm removal I have recently preformed, as I know how much of a headache they can be.

A purchased a 2007 Daytona 675 the other month, grey, 10,000 miles on her - fantastic bike! It was a replacement of my 2010 street triple R (knocked off her, write off and broke my pelvis and 4 ribs).

The bike has come with a Datatool S4 Red. Initially I thought that this was a good extra to have on the bike.. I was wrong! Started to develop problems quite quickly, especially in wet weather, not ideal for the UK.

Called a couple local mechanics and both wanted £150 to remove and that was best case scenario. I also called triumph to see if they had any suggestions. They told me it wasn’t a factory fitted alarm, but fitted as an optional extra (this is important to know as this will depend on which bypass plug you need).

There are quite a few on eBay but my alarm was spliced into a large loom coming from under the tank, which then fed into a small junction box with 4x T8 torx screws and then from there into the alarm itself under the seat.

If it’s IS triumph factory fitted you need https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255852677422Which fits into the 14 way connector.

If it’s NOT factory fitted, like mine, you need https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256102548080 which fits into the little junction box.

It was a very simple job, put the alarm into winter mode (hold black and grey buttons on fob for 10secs) then unplug it was from junction box and fit the bypass plug. The alarm went off for 2 secs then stopped, don’t need to take a hammer to it or anything like that and the bike fired up as it should, have ridden if for a few days since- no problems, Bosh!

    Hope this helps

Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with this eBay store/products in anyway, this is just the particular shop I bought from and found the seller to be very helpful.
