    well i wasn't expecting that!, after years with Honda he is now Rossis team mate at Yamaha. i think it could be a smart move for Danni :) ,it looked like Maverick was a cert to replace Lorenzo,but i heard Maverick was offered four times this years salary to stay and develop the Suzuki :eek:

    it now seems it's not officially confirmed,but the spanish press seem to think it is going to happen,,moto gp is in the silly season now!

    Danni has resigned for Repsol Honda for the 2017/18 seasons.

    Expect a statement from Maverick on Thurday to confirm he's going to Yamaha.

    yeah i was hoping there was going to be big shake ups :(,,it would have been good to see Dani on the Yam,and Maverick to win the title for suzuki in a few years..lots of conspiracy theories as to why the false info about Danni was leaked to the press,I'm guessing it was Yamaha!..but i suppose we will never find out

    Danni just came from a working class background, he was discovered by former gp rider Alberto puig who managed him for years, i think it was him that had the strong honda connections,i'm sure Puig went on to do other things a couple of years ago.When you see Danni in the flesh he really is small, can't be much more than 5ft and about 8 stone the fact he can handle a gp bike is pretty impressive,i would love him to win the title.unfortunatley don't think it's going to be this year

    sorry but danni is another of the ones that never did. if he were to be a winner it would have happened by now,he will win races,of that i am sure but the big prize will elude him. he is a good team mate but his best years are behind him now. I too cannot believe he can ride a motogp bike at all,he is so small and frail looking

    yeah Dave, he's too good to go to a satellite team,Suzuki might be a smart move for him next season, especially the way it is improving this year

    Iannone is at least a trier, i quite like him,just preferred Dovi to get the Duke than him. If he got offered the suzuki seat he would be foolish to say no
    and Cal???? as in Crash Loads, there was talk of him getting the Repsol Honda ride............yeah right

    I thought Mav had done ok at Suzuki. Decent rider. Iannone should do ok i think. The merry-go-round is interesting, especially when one of the aliens moves (Jorge to Ducati for example)

    Anyone know what Aleix is doing next year? He's great to watch IMHO.

    Neither of the Espargaro brothers is signed up for next year.
    Neither is Marquez come to that, I think it's just a formality though with Marquez....
