I watched the game on BBC2 last night. I have admit I'm not a fan of the razamataz and the hype. Why can't the 5 ball Set be called a 5 ball over for example? and the signs they put up together with the pyrotechnics when someone scores a boundary. The garish outfits etc etc? Its like trying to paint go faster flames along the side of a Honda Civic to me.

Having said all that I'm just a traditionalist old fart and if this style of game brings more people (young and old) into the sport then I'm all for that. Rugby league did a similar thing to boost spectator numbers 25 years ago so I see the attractions from a commercial viewpoint. I'd sooner watch a test match myself, but my wife for example, would prefer to watch paint dry or binge watch those accursed soap operas that plague early evening TV, so its horses for courses I guess.

What's your views on this format of cricket? Is it just a glammed up twenty twenty or is it better/worse??

I do like the 20-20 tbh and it's definitely brought in a younger audience as it's all over in a day.
But, I do like the traditional side too of the test matches as it's a nice lazy way to spend an afternoon.
I've never actually heard of "the hundred" so i'll look out for it and try. If it's as garish as you say, i'll not like it i'm sure.
A bit like the snooker has the occasional match that the shots are on a timer and they just wear normal clothes. No thanks.
