    20150608_151707.jpg Hi
    Has anyone else had this issue with a corroded coolant pipe on the cylinder head. It comes as part of the head so I need to ask if anyone else has managed to fix this problem

    Might be an idea to get a bit more info about the bike in question?

    Also, it took an age to download the picture - maybe you could reduce the file size from 2988 x 5312 = nearly 16 meg;
    to 550 x 800 - 0.44meg

    I have never had a liquid cooled bike and I don't really know this bike or if this is a common problem, but two things stand out.
    You say it comes as part of the head, but it looks like rust rather than corrosion, so the pipe must be steel and either pressed or screwed into the alloy head?, in which case it should be replaceable.
    If not, it might be possible to cut back to healthy steel and braze a new section on....either way I'm guessing the head will have to come off.

    The pipe is shown on the fiche detached from the head but there is no part number and comes with the head. The only way to know if it's pressed in or screwed in is to take it out and that's going to be the last resort. If it is just pressed in there is the possibility of threading or helicoiling the hole and finding some sort of spigot to screw in. It's very acessable with the panels removed. Either that or as you suggested braize or possibly solder a new piece on.
