    hi
I’ve got a 94 Thunderbird 900. Had a few cooling issues , replaced the fan ,and thermostats which have solved most issues. However I still get a bit of coolant combing out of the overflow pipe after it has run hot in traffic etc. Is this normal and should I just keep the expansion tank topped up or are there other issues? The fan kicks in ok when the red overheat light comes on ,but I still get small amounts of water out of the expansion overflow pipe.

I'd say normal , maybe run the coolant a bit richer.
I ran my 94 trident 50/50 coolant to de mineralised water.
It's the easiest mix ratio to set ...

Try replacing the rad pressure cap, other than that run a sniffer test on the coolant.

    As Tricky says.
My T509 speedie used to spit its dummy out too. I changed the cap and it is fine now. Found out on the triumphrat forum that some speedies burp a little until they find their own level. Filling to the line is too much, certainly in my case tho I'm not saying it is like that for you.
