Just started to renovate/customise a Bonneville T100 03 and the majority of the nuts/bolts/washers are rusty/corroded. Rather than wade through a massive detailed parts list, I was hoping I could buy a complete nuts/bolts/washers "kit". Does such a thing exist...?
Never seen one, sorry. The fasteners on my T100 were all SS and in good nick so I'm not sure how much of a market there would be for one. When I had Bandits the world and his wife sold bolt kits.
Yo Seb, welcome Not sure about new "kit" but my pal has very good results building his café racer special with a zinc plating kit. Things come out like new and it's not rocket science. Uses it all the time and does bits for others. Uses a plastic bucket, plates and electrodes. Replacement plates when needed are about £14.
That's an interesting way to go. At least you know you would have all the correct sizes. Does the plating affect the threads Pete?
No probs with threads Dave and he's done a lot. I was going to use this method for my 1963 Tbird but I sold bike to a pal. I will definitely do this to any future stuff.
