comfort seat

    i am looking for a s3r and i see some have the comfort seat, can anyone tell me how it compares to the original seat and do you sit any higher or lower on it? .i will be touring in the summer and i was just wondering if there is a big differance

    I've got one I use for touring.
    There isn't a huge difference in height.It's OK It just means your arse doesn't start to ache quite as soon.
    Be careful where you leave it,the gel pad get's f*****g hot if you leave it in the sun :eek:

    I bought mine from someone on here and if you can pick up a good used one it might be worth it.For the price of a new one it might be worth looking at an Airhawk.

    Or you coud wear cycling shorts, they make a huge difference for not much dosh. Regards Lou

    yeah i've thought about them,there is also motorbike shorts on the market now but i've heard it feels like your'e wearing a nappy..i'm not really into that!

    Cycling shorts aren't that bad - I wore mine on a trip to Germany - it helped a bit, but that old Bonnie seat felt rock hard after 3 hours!

    Nothing expensive mate. My original pair came from Halfords years ago and the latest from aldi!
