Hi all and I must start by saying what a cracking site, but I need some info please if any one can help. I have recently bought a triumph adventurer 1997 from a seller in Manchester and as much as I love the bike I have got to replace the petrol tank due to the bottom of the tank is rotton and leaking. I now have a replacement tank but it needs to be painted. my bike is 2 tone purple and cream and I am struggling to get the paint codes, I have contacted a triumph dealer 4 times and cant or wont help me and I keep resending the e-mail to them but still no reply, any idea's please
Welcome to the forum, can't believe your dealer won't help give Staffordshire Triumph a call they've always be brilliant help :upyeah:
paint codes Many thanks chrispy, I used to live in staffs myself in tamworth before I moved to bogtrotting country.
Let me have a look in this book when I get home from work as it has paint details in it. There is a bit of an issues getting some of the paint codes for some of the early Hinckleys as there were a lot of records destoyed in the fire. Just had this with my 1000 Daytona where they could not tell me if it was Radiant or Lancaster Red. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hinckley-Tr...d=1388671227&sr=1-1&keywords=hinckley+triumph
Have been able to find the colour codes for all Hinckley Triumphs and have posted them on the technical help page  The proper name for your bikes colours is Violet and Ivory. in 97 there were a shed load of different colours which includes nine different ones for the Adventurer / Thunderbird. Hope this is of help. Steve
