Clutch Adjustment

    It's been a few years since I've had a clutch with a cable instead of hyd. Between that & old age I seem to have forgotten.:rolleyes:

    2023 T120.

    If I want to move the engagement point out (away from the handlebar) do I turn the adjustment screw in or out? I'm referring to the adjuster on the clutch lever.

    Adjust it so that you have less free play at the lever, but make sure that you still have some or you will wear the clutch prematurely

    The adjuster is a normal right hand thread so winding it anticlockwise (out) will move the bite point further out.
    Give it half a turn increments, then try again to see what suits you ;)

    Think that did the trick; 1/2 turn and she's as she should be.

    On cable type clutch's you want about 2-3 mm of slack at the hand grip. My ST900 calls for that, so I would think the other Triumph cable clutch's would be similar.
