Cleaning!

Try a 'Pet Dryer' - have a look on Google - there is a bike specific one out there (Airforce?) but exactly the same as the pet ones at almost double the price!
(I use a pet one from eBay)

 

I used to love sitting for hours cleaning my bikes...
But, now i hate it, i just can't be bothered. I dont ride in the wet anymore, and don't do winters anymore either, so, bike washes are few and far between these days...

 

With you on avoiding the wet if at all possible! Been lucky with the weather recently so haven't had to wash it yet this season - I just polish the front bits to remove the flies - washing doesn't shift them anyway!

 

Yeah, bit of a pain - water pooling and cleaning in general, especially with spoked wheels. I've tried to get mine as clean as possible and get all the gunk off that the previous owner missed in the hope that new muck won't stick so easily!
Seemed OK after just getting wet in a shower - sprayed it with "Dirty Bike" and washed off, not too bad.

 

I generally only ride when it's dry, so not much cleaning involved! :upyeah:

I actually quite enjoy the little that I do, but I hear that "muk off" stuff is good.

A little Autosol every now and then brings up the shine too.

 

Wash it, dry it garage it until fully dry then apply ACF50 to everything except tank, painted covers, discs and chain.

Protects and dirt comes off easily.

Repeat ACF50 treatment, when dirt is harder to remove

 

I hate cleaning bikes. Always have, always will. Unfortunately I ride all year. ACF50 is ok but the Finish on the America (especially the alloy wheels) is so shite it makes little difference!

The America, like the Bonnie, is a real pain to clean as well :frown:
