Looking at altering the placement of the exhaust on my Speedie but can't decide which style to go for so an opinions appreciated. I currently have the standard high level TOR can as in the pic below but am undecided whether to push the can higher so it sites in line with the seat unit or have the can coming of a short link to be angled behind the footpeg.

I was also concerned whether shortening the pipework to have the stubbie would more the torque further up the rev range (which I don't want). What do you reckon? $_57 (1).JPG aaa.jpg image.jpg

For once on a changing the exhaust thread. I'm actually going to say don't alter it other than changing the end can.
Stubby imv looks as thou the bike is half finished and higher looks as thou some one didn't think about the lines of the bike ( styling wise).
Each to their own , if it was me I would look at getting a carbon end can ( a smaller one than already on it ) and just swap the OEM one out.

Cheers Gary. I have already tried a change with a Trident link pipe and an oval carbon can I had but didn't like the angle from both the side and the rear. DSC_0156.JPG DSC_0125.JPG

    Push it up a bit.
I think it looks good tight to the bodywork.

Going to have a play tomorrow RR to try and put the can up a bit with the same angle as the seat unit. Got a small piece that I can put between the link and the manifold with a 10 degree bend which should lift it. Will just have to cut an inch off the manifold and another inch of the link pipe so claim back some length so it doesn't interfere with the indicator. Cheers chaps.

Well finally got the exhaust sitting where I want, in line with the bike and at the same angle as the seat unit. Spent the last couple of days building the exhaust to replace the Tor can and my old can. Made from a fish weave carbon with a big bore outlet, sounds nice. Happy now.
