Afternoon all, I've just been in the garage drooling over my Speedmaster and I've found this socket next to the left passenger footrest, I've no idea what it is but it looks important! Please excuse my naivety!

That is the charger lead for a battery charger. Either Oxford, Optimate or similar.
I have a similar plug on mike too between the riders seat & side panel. If you chase the wires back i bet they go to either side of the battery (+) & (-).

I have the Optimate 3 & i keep it plugged in all the time when the bike isnt in use...

Def an Optimate charger lead... It connects to the battery so in theory you could use it for a GPS if you wanted....

That's awesome, I was looking at fitting a cigarette type charger somewhere so this should save me a few quid, I've found a lead on eBay for about 20 quid which I think I should be able to route under the tank. I definitely need a GPS as I tend to get very geographically embarrassed!

Thank you for the help gents :upyeah:
