The idea was to make a fun toy for my self, and it have been my favourite bike for going hunting up at the local mountain roads for last three years now.

What I had in mind was improve front and rear suspensions as the oem was from the economical line...
Chassis was painted yellow and I found a cheap R1 rear shock at a local scraper.
I bought used Aprillia RSV swingarm at eBay (from uk) and fitted it on

FFD7159B-2F69-4B9A-A6EC-BC615F3354DF.jpeg Front fork and callipers came from a GSXR
As I didn’t like the angle on the rear frame I made a new one, but bolt on type as it’s help making mantinence more accessible.
Fork was in place and the bike was at the ground again on its own wheels again

This time I had in mind making a little paint tribute to my Swedish/Gran Canarian past as both has yellow/blue flags.

I use make my own tailor made seats as this way the fits as I want.
The bike was ready for first rides and it was great!
It had a bit to much spring load at the rear, making the wheel bump and loose traction on irregular tarmac

The only way how to make my dream bikes without my wife kicking me out of home is not spending to much producing a negative economic impact at the hose economy.

At this moment the building budget under 2000€ which is reasonable having in mide it keeps up to modern +15.000€ super bikes at the local mountain roads.

The bike was used daily during more then one year before I blow the engine, it’s was needed new pistons, rods and crankshaft.
I found a used crankshaft and forged rods from US at eBay for 150€ .
New forged race pistons came on for 700€ ...
    Gaskets 140€
A lot of money but for a low budget bike..

The 28 of June I hade an accident with the Raptor, the bike wasn’t very damaged just some scratches and minor repairs,
I’m still recovering from it but I believe I will not have the enough force on my left arm/hand in the future for this kind of crazy bikes, So now on its time for “ride the wind of change”, that’s the reason why I bought my first classic bikes a T140D and a 1976 Ducati 900SS.
But first I have to finish this little Raptor , A friend of mine says he want her so it’s time to sell the bike!
Today I prefitted the silencers, Swapped the front brake cylinder and started the engine for first time since June. 0DEBDEA1-A6F5-4936-BD9C-D2DD78248CE9.jpeg 041BA021-E1DE-4261-A550-C3DC3D45AA65.jpeg

Bloody hell, you seem to be knocking out these rather tasty bikes at an incredible rate! I've had a Yamaha XS400 project sitting in the garage for nearly 3 years. Do you fancy nipping over and giving me a hand? You'll probably have it finished by tea time, then we can go for a beer and I'm buying! Can't say fairer than that.

Actually, of course, we can't go anywhere for a beer at the moment but my fridge is full and you're welcome to drink your way through it. What d'you say?

As always, stunning work. I was not fan of the first version, but the second one in black is really nice.

What you are forgetting @beerkat , he lives in a climate of average temperatures above 20c and we are in a wet damp and cold climate, so no surprise he is inclined to get out and get on with his projects. If you are like me I only go into the garge during the winter to check the optimizer is still doing its job lol
