I have been having this problem with Tracey, my tiger 800, recently and having read a thread elsewhere it says that the factory sets the voltage level for non starting as too high, so although you might have the power in the battery to turn the bike over the ecu won't let you.
From a guy on facebook I got this link to triumphrat.net where the ever knowledgeable Forchetto has posted this work around. I am hoping it will be useful to all here who are having starting issues due to low battery. Although it says for efi twins i am hoping it should work for Tracey

    Brilliant Crispey
I have read some of Forchettos other posts and he is a real knowledgeable guy.
Great when this sort of technical information is freely available.
Having suffered three Non-start 'clicks' I am ready to implement this mod.
Have you actioned it yourself ?
