After riding 2 SP3 RS’s, I decided that it was time for something different.

I bought one of the last GS 1250’s but will keep on reading on here if you don’t mind.
Thanks for all the tips and laughter, I really enjoyed it all!

safe travels, keep the rubber down.
    Arno.

@Arno triple If it's got two wheels and an engine slung in the middle, you, and your GS 1250 belong here.

Enjoy your new GS, they're a great all rounder. I've just swapped mine for a 1250RS. Similar to yourself I've had 3 GS' and fancied a change but stayed with the boxer engine so not quite as radical a move for me.

almost… ultimate edition, 3000 were made worldwide, unfortunately not numbered! I emailed bmw but they didn’t keep track. How foolish of them, would have been nice to have nr. 1 of 3000

Looks very smart. Are you going to fit any protection to it? I put a front fender extender front engine crud catcher and mudsling on mine to protect the engine and rear shock from the road crap. Not sure how OCD you are about keeping your bike looking like new but I know those spoked wheels are a pain to keep clean and can suffer from bimetal cortosion where the stainless spokes are in contact with the aluminium wheels rims. I had the black cast alloys on mine so didn't have that problem. Here's the RS, it looks better in the flesh

Sure do! i have the mud sling installed. Furthermore… stay on the asphalt for 99% of the time.
