I was told 16th September by the dealer for build date. Realistically is that a firm date and how long afterwards do you actually receive it?

    Birthday looming 30th September

Mine took about 2weeks to come into the dealers so it sounds about right. My problem was Triumph had no stock and the factory were on shutdown for the summer break. But once back they cracked on and delivered it last week

Are all Thruxtons built in Hinckley ? I thought some were coming in from Thailand as well.

All Bonnie / Thruxton twins are currently built in Triumph Thailand factory so QC is top notch. Luckily delivered in a crate and not by a "Tuc Tuc" driver

I thought, after reading in magazines they were all built in Thailand but have been told by a dealer they only supply the US market.

UK bikes are built here apparently with production moving later in the year.

Wonder how you check? VIN number ?

Can't comment on the America etc but for sure Bonnies & Thruxtons are made in Thailand, along with Tiger 800's.. Not a bad thing at all as its a world wide market nowadays. The difference is Triumph own the factory so it is made "by Triumph" and not a third party factory .... Like Apple do ...
Own a BMW car where was it made? No I don't no either.. A Rolls Royce... German or English?
It really doesn't mater as long as the quality is good ...
    Just enjoy the ride...

Yes I can confirm the Thruxton and Bonnies are made in Thailand, apparently all the tooling is much newer than at Hinkley and half the guys at Hinkley are working over there and the production lines are running at 100% plus. That is why you have such a waiting list. Demand is well out stripping supply at the moment. But it is worth waitng for.
