Still no real solution to my low MPG. Mate suggested I had my bike tuned.
Do I need to take it to a Triumph dealership or can I take it to my local garage? What's involved & how much will it cost?

Dont take it to a dealer unless they have a rolling road....You need to take it to a rolling road that specialises in Triumphs. You can actively tune the ECU.. Or if it's a carb bike they can re jet it... If its carb then you can take it to most Dyno jet rolling roads....

Best take it to a rolling road and get a test run done and check the fueling.. They will be able tell straight away if it is running rich...

Dealer retuned my bike or me and I lost 5 BHP straight away... Could tell as soon as I started to use it...

What he said... any DynoJet centre can do a power run & see what the fueling is like throughout the rev range. I would imagine you are running very rich somewhere along the line.

I'll phone around and see what the deal is. Presumably the bike is hooked up to a computer & then adjustments made? Expensive??

A base run will be £25-£50... If nothing else needs doing... Full tune can be £200.. If they offer you a Dynojet then that's £250+ and then £150-£200 for tune so yes it can be expensive...
Ask for a base run only just so you can see what is up.. If anything....

You're not sure which one? I'm guessing it'll be the bike. Hope this helps!
