    Hi all,

I'm new here... and to Triumph motorcycles in general.

The T120 I bought a couple of months ago has the preload set to 3 (out of 5). I will be travelling to Ireland (from Switzerland) in a few days, and since I'll be taking roughly 30 Kg. of luggage with (1 month riding there), I was thinking of upping the preload to 4. I'm 75 Kg, btw.

The thing is, the little holes to insert an Allen key to help with leverage are on opposite sides of the shock (the left one - disk brake side - faces outwards, and the right one - chain side - faces inwards. (photos below).

My question: is this normal? I can't really reach the hole on the right side to insert the tool to help as leverage.

    Thanks for any clues!

    Jo
