Well had this as an office bike for a month or so and its done 1000 miles, so here is de reevoo...

Haven't had a chance to ride the Tiger 800, an obvious competitor, although the Triumph looks a lot cooler than the BM IMHO. If anyone has experience of both we'd be interested in knowing what you think...

We're happy with the BM, though its a functional tool and not something we'd expect to fall in love with. Amazingly agile - is that true of the Tiger 800?:frown:

I have heard that these parallel twins suffer from vibration issues through the bars, a friend has a 800 (for only a couple and he is already selling it) as he says after half an hour he cannot feel his fingers it is that bad. The triple is a smoother and more refined engine that the BMW.

Actually there is very little vibration - we use it as a camera bike and its as steady as a rock.

I test rode one and found it gutless, those mag wheels are also nigh on useless off road as the rims easily ding. I am happy with my choice of the Tiger 800 XC the spoked wheel longer travel version. There is nothing I can see as better on the BMW
