No, not the Fuzz/Pigs/etc in your mirrors, the gear change indicator lights on your dash.
When did you last see yours, how often, how long?
Shame the computer doesn't give a read-out of how long they've been on over the ride. It would give a pretty good indication of fun factor and how much/little of the available power we are using.

Col i'm pretty sure you can set the lights to come on at whatever revs you like, or you can switch them off altogether,my bike must have been set pretty high, but the one i had a test ride on must have been set at the lowest setting as it was always on and it got on my nerves!

As DD says, you can get into the settings and change the rev speed at which the blue lights illuminate.
I have mine set to 9,000 rpm with the progressive strobe type setting, this means that actually start coming on (one light) at about 6,500, then progressivly more illuminate as the revs increase until all are lit and flashing at 9,000.
I do this before it redlines, plus I have reduces the revlimiter to 9,500 so that the engine is never 'accidently' thrashed, such as sticking in 1st gear or some similar, jsut a precaution!

When the bike is new, the blues are set low so that they illuminate at around 4/5,000 as you shouldn't go above this for the 1st 1,000 miles. You can then adjsut them to reflect your preferences.

Hi Dougie & Red, yeah I know, great minds think alike, Red you have yours set identical to mine (or is that vice versa :)).
As you say, during the run-in period I adjusted the lights to match the rev limit at each mile post, and I made a point of clipping that limit occasionally to make sure it was run-in properly (I believe being too gentle in that phase can be just as damaging as over-revving).
But since then I don't see the lights come on too often, seems most the time I'm running in that 5-6 thou band. Can't remember the last time I saw the whole lot lit up.
........Oh yeah, that dick in a BMW ..........

Mine were also set low & I wondered what the hell they were mean't to be for. Then I found the relevant bit in the wee manual and adjusted them - don't hit the top one so much

I don't recall seeing my flashy blues since winter, now it is summer I guess I don't notice them.
But yeah, I think I reach that area of the rev's now and again where they would start getting excited.
