I thought it would be an idea to start a thread to share all those useful tips and ideas we’ve all developed over the years of owning and running motorcycles.

A couple of really simple ideas which I’ve been doing for years just using good old masking tape and a pen, firstly I always have the tyre pressures written up where I can easily see them in the garage so it’s simple to quickly check the bike before each ride.

Secondly if I have a bike in the garage with a disc lock on, I either stick a reminder on the tank or on the cover.

I also put my tyre pressures under my seat on a label or using a paint pen so I can remind myself should I need to inflate them while out.

I also have them up somewhere in the garage.

I usually write my bikes tyre pressures in felt tip pen on a tall double door steel cabinet that’s is my garage, I call it my wardrobe :)

When I put a disc lock on I always attach a disc lock reminder cable from the disc lock to the clutch or front brake lever.

The same goes when the bike is in my garage and I also put the disc lock bag over the ignition switch.

I use a cable reminder for my disc lock too, *cough* @learningtofly *cough*.

Always leave a few spare pairs of foam earplugs in the t*pbox too in case I loose/drop one of the ones I'm using in the dirt. Also carry an A5 size road atlas on longer trips in case the TomTom dies and I cannot get any signal on Google Maps from my phone.

Put some clear protection film on the tank where the seat can rub
