    So how stable are they?
Would it feel safe enough to be able to sit on the bike, feet up for example?

Did think about getting one in order to carry bikes inside a van (+ ratchet straps obviously) as they will take less length up in use and should be easier to load one manned.

Hi Eldon, I found it to be very stable and I think it would be ok to sit on the bike - I'll check tonight and let you know :worried: Looking at the On-Bike website it does say that the BikeGrab is designed for use in vans as well as on garage floors - I think you can buy some additional bits for van use.

A mate of mine has something similar on his trailer nose but without the rocking bit.
He has a pair of really short ratchet straps which he loops through the radial caliper mounts i.e. no suspension compression, and the bike travels rock solid at any  speed o_O

I have undertaken the test and I’m pleased to report that there is absolutely no problem with sitting on the bike while it’s in the BikeGrab :grinning:

Uh oh. "It might be absolutely fine with the addition of ratchet straps?"

Does the Bikegrab stay in place pretty well without bolting it down? I have a chock now but it slides around so I have to put it against the wall. I don't want to put bolts in my garage floor. Thanks!

I have a 2017 Thruxton 1200 R and was doing the oil change today, hence I was thinking about my crappy wheel chock. The Thruxton doesn't have a center stand. After changing the oil, I see now that it is designed to do the oil change on the side stand. The oil doesn't drain properly when it's level, it needs to be leaning on the side stand. Interesting, and at least easier for my next change.

I sometimes attach a sidecar, and then I definitely need it level though.

The bike grab doesn’t move when I use it with my Speed a Twin. Tried it yesterday with my pal’s Harley and no problem at all. I would highly recommend it.

Sorry if this sounds like a daft question (I'm hovering over the buy button at the moment), but is it easy to wheel the bike out of the chock? It seems to kind of lock in place when you wheel it in and I'm just a bit fearful of an accident if it meets resistance when pulling it out.
