My father has a Thunderbird 900 from 1999 and a month ago some accident happened in the garage and the bike suffered some esthetic damage, and it fell on the ground on the left side. My father was too upset to do anything so he left the bike on the ground the whole night. The next day we picked it up but it wont start. So since then we left it on the stand for some days and tried to star it again. No success. When we try to start, it leaves a gas smell and the starter won't crank all the way. What can I do to make it run again?

Check the switch's like the side stand switch and clutch switch. whip the plugs out clean and dry them up. Check the battery is fully charged and holding the charge. Look for nipped wires and let us all know. Its a bummer when things like this happen. But we have all been there and felt the same. Welcome to the family.
    Joe.
