I want to get rid of the very functional, but butt ugly stock mirrors on my Scrambler 1200xc, but not sure of options with triumphs bar end insert. The bars are 7/8 outside diameter. I would normally get ones with an expanding post insert, but triumph puts that plug in the end of the bar. Do any of you have good experiences with bar-end mirrors on this type of setup? What is the best mounting type to select?

I'm thinking I should just get 5/8 ones with a wrap around clamp mount, but then I have to figure out how best to cover up the ugly open end of the bar.

    Just seeking ideas/options.

    Thanks. 20190505_180742.jpg 20190505_180736.jpg

I’m selling these, the Rizoma website says the bar ends will fit - generally they’re fairly universal. Adapters brand new and Mirrors used very little, all Rizoma and cost about £220.

Thanks for all of the feedback, info, ideas, and the pics. I think I've got a lot of options now.

I ended up picking up a really cheap set of kenimoto clamp-ons from amazon, and a set of end caps from British Customs and it ended up working out well for me. No more giant mouse ear mirrors, they are further out and very slightly convex so you get a wider and better view, and they are slightly tinted which cuts down on headlight glare. I really couldn't be happier.

Two more shots to show off these mirrors because I am so happy with them. Pair them up with flush end cap that works with triumph bars that have the threaded inserts and you have a great setup. Easy to install, great vision, no vibes, they hold fast, and in my opinion they look good too.
