Just a thought! I broke my arm so I in dock for a bit and obviously no bikey poos!
Should I get a battery charger to keep on top of things or just start the bike up every couple of days ? Any thoughts cheers!!

  2. I do worry sometimes that I should stick a charger on mine - over a year old now, less than 2000 miles on it and I spend over half the year offshore at work - but the battery's always been fine even after a couple of months. I guess that will change as the battery gets older.
Advice on this can be conflicting - I've always kept our caravan battery permanently connected to a top of the range intelligent charger (a big battery and more expensive than a bike one!) yet advice during it's last service was that the battery shouldn't be left like that - better to alternate a month or so on and off charge.
    Go figure!

I use an optimate every now and again if a bike isn't getting used, say once a month especially during winter. With connector fitted to battery permanantly, it's real easy to literally plug optimate itself in. no brainer.
