Bargain Tyres From Amazon

    Just ordered some tyres from Amazon..bikespeeduk. Avon Cobra £94.99 for rear and Avon roadrider for front £64.99 incl postage. They listed Venoms for the rear I ordered them. They then emailed me to say no venom left so are sending Cobra. Happy Days

    Just realised I ordered 110/80/18 front for my America 2009 instead of 110/90/18. Does it matter

    Not much. 110 is tyre width to % height. Same width tyres but lower profile side on and therefore marginally smaller overall wheel diameter which WILL affect a front wheel driven speedo calibration and minimally affect trail/steering speed. The slightly smaller tyre will overestimate front wheel speed by about 5%.

    Just an update. I emailed BikespeedUK. They have changed my order to a 90 profile for no extra charge. Great service from these people through Amazon. Great prices too.
