    I remember the red type ones? I had one on the ts50er as a kid and i kept getting zapped.
    I forget the make though?

    I had the red champion ones on my gt550. In cold weather it used to run like a dog... Took it to Crewe cold store to replicate it, and one of the caps, was throwing up a huge resistance in sub zero... Swapped it out and all fine.

    A mate had plug caps that lit up when firing... Looked weird when it was coming down the road at you!

    These were the worst type, in the wet the spark used to track along the metal shroud.

    Oh how I remember. I think they were fitted as a safety feature. If your bike wouldn’t run in the wet you wouldn’t be at risk of being killed by the non existent disc brakes or OE Japanese tyres that also didn’t work properly in the rain :scream:.
