    Hi Guys,

Hope you're all well and right side up. Sorry for long absence - been touring Ireland again. Superb but not easy on a Rocket III! What a beast!

Been thinking about getting one of those click on and off tank bags since I last went on tour and got fed up with the straps on my old Oxford bag.

Finally fitted and tested the Sport bag (Small / medium sized one) by Bags Connection and it was great. Bit of a weird install (see video) but in use totally hassle free. I doubt I'll ever use another type of tank bag again. Downside is that its not cheap and you need a fixing kit as well as the bag.

    Still I've decided I'm a fan.:upyeah:

What do you think? Anyone else tried it?

Big fan of these quality bags, had one on my Speed and now have one on the Tiger. Wife also has a 12V powered one on her Street Triple; just snap the bag onto the tank ring and all your electronic devices in the tank bag have power.

I have one on my 675r, I got the smallest one (micro) and due to my short arms, low bars and how far back the filler cap is find its get in my way a little, No fault of the bag just me and my bike! Its a really good bit of kit. Better than the givi tank ring!

I've used the Givi 20lt version for the last couple of years with no problems.
I wouldn't go without it now, handy for the odd day out as well.
Be even better if it was waterproof.

Actually it snowed one year we were touring in Ireland. Total White Out and visibility down to 3 meters. We stopped and turned into large roadside snowballs before it stopped. 1 hour later heavy rain, then sunshine. That's Ireland for you. Snow is rare though.

Here's the tour report with video (3 years, none of which had snow) in case anyone wants some ideas about routes and so on. The maps expand and have links in them to photos and video.
