I'll second that, get them out....the overrun pop is awesome

 

This is what my beowulfs sound like without the baffles for a taster, but let us know how you get on with your arrows!

As others have said...it will be fine to remove those baffles.

 

+1 what the others say.
Most Arrows get fitted by dealer so likely has the correct map. Same map for with or without baffles. Theoretically a 3bhp gain when baffles removed but unlikely to notice it. Sounds better without being over loud.

 

Mine was remapped after fitting my Arrows and the remap is only required for the move from stock to the Arrows, with or without the baffles.

It was a harsher/louder sound than I expected at first, so I tried fitting the baffles, but that was way to quiet for my liking. Then I cut the ends of the baffles (removing the small restrictive hole), but after 10 minutes of that, removed them completely and hid them where I'll never think to look again.

The sound without baffles settles to lovely low sonorous roar. I'm sure you won't look back.

 

A lot have no bolts to hold them in, they are a bloody tight fit, so the best way to get them out is to remove the silencer then ram a sturdy piece of wood down in the direction of the gas flow and out they come.

 

There are two versions - Euro and ROW (Rest Of World). The Euro version is secured by the screw and a spot weld which needs to be broken. The ROW version just has the screw.

 

+1 Yorkshireman & MrTriple. Some have tried removing baffles with bent wire hooked in holes with varying success. Easy and quick to remove cans and poke with a stick. Dremmel the tack weld away and you'll need a Torx key for the screw.

 

Triumphs have the ability to learn/adapt built in to the ECU ! It's supposed to be there to adjust fueling for atmospheric adaptions, if altitude changes and whether there is a high or low pressure isobaric weather system, but it will learn your exhaust has changed too !

Great post Rocker for low-boy's, but I think Hobbit has twin high's so won't be that difficult. Fortunately the twins are deliberately designed for easy baffle removal....remove screw, poke with stick, job done.

 

Oh Ok didn't know thought Arrow made them all a pain to get out

 

I think the tightening of the emissions regs forced Arrow to change the "disassembly procedure" for the EU bikes. The shop here still sells the easy removal of baffles type.

 

I think you're correct, for fitment to Euro4 bikes must be more difficult to remove, not sure what you'd get here if buying new manufactured Arrows but for older Euro3 spec bike. I suspect when stock has gone they'll all be the same (sod to remove).
