Its left me 1/2 full and in-need of the promised "good news" in the next article.

Without meaning to sound like a Luddite, I do not like the idea of computers and sensors taking ownership of driving vehicles on our highways.
Sensors for parking at low speeds fine, but nothing else.
All drivers should remain alert and in full control of their vehicle at all times in my opinion.
Driving is a skill which requires practice and diligence,
Delegating ownership to computers will not enhance basic driving skills, it will nurture complacency.
Plenty of trains, taxis and buses available for folk who don't want to drive 'properly'

Great article by the way Figwold, thanks for sharing.

The disturbing flip side is a courtry's aggressive buying into this tech. I imagine it being forced into vehicles as a safety feature... then what will the ministry for transport be thinking when it sees a bunch of bikers with no overriding control? (Remember when they wanted to enforce fitting of leg protectors on bikes? Mr peter bottemly)
