Yep went and filled up with derv, thinking I was putting those corrosion eating fishes fuel in. Needless to say I did not too far up the road, not a great start to my winter biking season!

Oh dear, shouldn't be too bad, it's worse the other way round.
Flush and fill with premium fuel, should be ok after a tank full. Just damm inconvenient.
Just wish I could get out on my bike.

The salesman at ducati put diesel in their demo Hyperstrada, I was supposed to be taking out for a test ride, they put fresh fuel in after draining out what they could, then ran it, took a little to catch and ran like a bitch for a while. The hardest part was trying to burn it off the catalytic converter. It was glowing red and flames coming out the exhaust. Cleared eventually.

I had a crash at Oulton Park last year with my Yamaha R6. The recovery guy started it up to run it into my garage and it smoked like a bitch. As it hit the wall tank first, oil went from the gearbox breather up into the airbox then into the exhaust where it soaked the wadding.

It took 2 trackdays before all the smoke cleared. Although some other guys in the paddock were impressed by my smoke rings!
