I have a used Street Twin 2018 that was acquired at an auction (abandoned).

I have a set of keys that it came with which work fine with the ignition, but don't seem to work with the seat lock.

I thought maybe the ignition assembly had been changed and the seat lock hadn't been updated to match.

But now I'm not sure. After reading about seat lock issues online that others have had with other Triumph bikes, I'm thinking maybe there is a "trick" to getting the seat off.

    1. Any advice or tips on how to remove the seat on a bike that maybe hasn't been used in a couple of years?
    2. Failing that, is there a way I can bypass the locking mechanism? As a last resort I'll try to pick the lock...
