I set off from home about 10am, thinking that was more than enough time to get to Glasgow, no.
Went straight in to the Aberdeen Bypass and decided to take the A92 from Stonehaven down the coast.
I stopped in Montrose for my coffee fix, and when I got going again, almost immediately felt a dunt on the back of my leg and when I stopped to look the tail tidy bracket had snapped off at the bolts, clean across the right angle bend, it was hanging by the wires.
I found a backstreet garage with a up front guy who straight off started in on fixing the bracket, ( What a guy)
I checked the bulbs and one of the micro indicator bulbs had blown from the impact.

    Highly recommend this guy.
I couldnt get a bulb for the indicator, from the Auto place on the corner, so I tried Halfords in Arbroath they had 5 bulbs in total for every car in the country.
This is where I noticed the pulsing from the slow braking.
I phoned all the bike shops in Dundee the last guy had one, so off we went searching Dundee for the shop.
I had held off ordering the phone-mount and cover for Google Maps cos I figured this was a straight forward run, and I knew where I was going.Who knew?
After finding Skinners Motorcycles, I went in and asked for a spanner too back off the preload on the front forks, we got talking and and he wanted a look at the discs, He was fairly convinced it was the discs, and tried to check the run out.
His mate with the bulbs, had one, mine had a 10 oclock and 2 oclock bayonet location, his was 11 and 2,
    Dam!

So by now its 4.30pm and Im thinking Im three hundred quid in a hole and late for Glasgow, with no right hand rear indicator for the motorway.

    Dam!

I get back on the road and make time for Glasgow arrive at rush hour and crawl along the M8.

    Dam!

I arrive at the Youth hostel around 6pm, just as the doors are opening at the SECC ,20 minutes away, Im sweating in the sun, like only a ginger in Scotland can, and I get a bit lost walking through the streets, checking my phone for Brake discs.

( join in if you know the words)

    Dam!

I arrive in time to hear the last half of the last song by Massive Wagons whom I wanted to see cos they sound good on youtube

    Dam!

This is where it turned around.
I got a couple of beers, The Quo were very good and so where Lynyrd Synyrd.
Great Kebab and slept like a log. When your the loudest snorer in the room you have no problem sleeping.

I was up and waiting for Triumph Glasgow to open, no bulb, although he did suggest filing off one bayonet, I may try that yet.
After you guys and the mechanic saying it may be the bobbins, everytime I stopped I massaged the disc with my hands to get it clicking like the right one, and by the time I got to Stirling there was an improvement.
By Perth, it was almost gone, and I think it is gone now, So Im off Saturday and will rebuild the calipers and wash out the Bobbins with Acetone.

I dont think there is a indicator bulb in Scotland like the one I need.

    O well!
Thanks to all concerned and Lyn at Scone Palace ,who is the admission woman and a biker, her GS tractor was parked next to the bothy, and displayed stickers from all over Europe, she came over and asked if I wanted my photo with the bike, nice and a wave to Dougie cos I rode past him in Blairgowrie.:):):):):)

Fantastic weather and great roads. cheers.
