Tidied up the Triumph a bit today... Got rid of the Spaceship rear light cluster and the massive chrome front indicators and fitted a few wee bits here and there...
Thinking about different mirrors but not sure what type? I also fancy a smaller front mudguard.... rear end 2.jpg front end.jpg

Spot on - did the same with mine and fitted the front mudguard off a Scrambler. Also have Halcyon bar end mirrors fitted now.

The only thing that concerns me about this whole movement of replacing large indicators with smaller, neater ones is visibility. It seems too easy already for cage drivers to say "sorry mate didn't see you" - so if we reduce our visibility when turning or changes lanes etc are we just playing in to their hands?

Also,in the event of an accident caused by either party, the insurers are likely to say (because they hate paying out!) "You have modified your vehicle sir, without informing us, so sadly (heh,heh,heh).......................etc etc etc"

Don't get me wrong I'm all for personalising bikes, but I don't want to do something that will cause me grief.

Dave, I put arizonas on mine, 37mm diameter lens as apposed to 53mm I think, although smaller they are brighter and a lot better looking than originals, preferred them to the 20mm ( too small I agree) The lucas tail light might have to be reconsidered though as that isn't that bright, maybe a stronger bulb.

You understand guys, I'm not telling you what to do. Hell if you saw the undeclared mods on my steed you'd pull your hair out. But I think I can claim that none of them compromise the ability of other road users to see me and what I'm doing (I could have phrased that last bit better:oops:).

I'm wondering if I could remove the whole rear light section and maybe replace with an LED version. That, hopefully would enhance visibility as well as looking much neater.

Dave, I am with you there!! Are you talking about keeping the rear cluster the same but converting to LED? have you looked here? or if not this you would have to do LED conversion and you could move indicators to underseat mounts.

I've had a fair bit on my plate recently mate so have done nothing about tidying my back end (fnar fnar) but my goal is to go over to LED indicators all round and LEDs for the tail/stop light.

Better visibility and much neater plus better for the battery.
