I get a call the other day saying that a friend has found a motorbike in a garage stored for 30 years and was i interested ,i asked what it was and him not being interested in bikes said its got two wheels........i arranged to go and see the mystery beast and on my way imagined Brough...Vincent a unrestored piece of exotic iron,so with anticipation the gent opens the garage he tells me it was his sons but hes gone abroad...so the sheets pulled off and........a Durkoff Diana scooter and if thats not bad enough its got loads of bits missing ,well better luck next time but a scooters not for me.
Isn't it more about the excitement of what could have been in there??? Who am I kidding it would have been gutting seeing a scooter instead if a Vincent!!
it just goes to show that there are some left to find and i think we all live in the hope of finding something speical one day and i shouldn't complain i've had my share so can't be greedy LOL
