955i Speed Triple Seat.

I purchased my 2004 triple about 2 years ago with the seat in a bag.I recently tried it on and it fitted ok but there are 2 recesses at rear (see pics) which don't look right.I dont think the seat as ever been used it's like new and is marked 2004 underneath.Any ideas cheers.
