Yes I'm bored. I took the headlamp assembly to bits this morning. I started off wanting to take off the bracket that holds the front indicators and the voltage regulator as its black paintwork was looking distinctly shoddy and peeling off at the edges. I ended up taking the headlamp off to get easier access and to disconnect the wiring for the front indicators. I was quite surprised to find a lot of rust on the inside of the headlamp shell. The bike is over 8 years old now, but I didn't think it would have got that bad. The photo was taken after I'd spent some time cleaning it up. The rust wasn't so bad that it affected the structure of the lamp shell, but I reckon if I'd left it another year or so it probably would have.
