Because i am as crazy as all the other lunatics here in the asylum. No i just love them the name the bikes the nostalgia the stories and the owners. You can just see here by reading through this forum the Passion the devotion and the respect for each other. That's it I'm sold. Regards Joe
It's in my signature. I bought the Triumph because I wanted something less sports oriented for commuting from Kent to central London, and I'd always wanted one! I still think the Street Triple looks fantastic. Mine's the old one with round headlights, exactly the same as @MadMrB has.
A Speed Triple because, though I loved my previous Triumphs, both Thruxtons, I did a super bike school and somehow magically wound up with my Speed shortly afterwards. Triumphs because I love their vibe, history, distinctiveness, fit & finish, and (lord knows why--hahaha!) the "Britishness" of the brand. Initially I was drawn to Triumph World, as I call it, because I fell in love with the style of cafe racers before I even knew what they were and, hence, my first Triumph was a Thruxton. And my second Triumph was a Thruxton R. My Speed Triple is my third Triumph but more than likely won't be my last.
Love my Bonneville Speedmaster after wanting a TBird, but found the old ankles were not keen 280kg Down low with a 1200 suits me fine
Triumph cos it's an anagram of Up Mirth A Tiger cos it's an anagram of Re Git. Riding position and comfort cos of decrepitness A Tiger 800 cos it was an outgoing model and therefore relatively cheap. Light weight
Bonneville 790 because I wanted an air cooled Bonnie which is as close to a classic as I feel comfortable maintaining, and from a small child I grew up with a desire to own a Bonneville some day. Street Triple 675 because I wanted something more sporty to satisfy the little bit of hooligan still left in me, and to me the Street and Speed Triples with the round twin headlights are still the most attractive models of the triple roadster range (although all the Speed Triple models up to 2019 are very attractive bikes). IMO Triumph is currently about the only major manufacturer that produces good lookiing bikes across their model range, most other bands are producing at best aesthetically bland or more commonly grotesque machines. Even Ducati, who had in the past nearly always produced exquisite works of art, are now starting to move towards the f#ck ugly school of design with the Diavel/XDiavel and Streetfighter
Currently have a Tiger 800 but waiting for a Tiger 900 GT Pro. Just sold the Bonneville (had two of those) and have also had a Trident 900.
A Thruxton 1200 water cooled in green, because it’s the sexiest looking bike on the planet and it goes pretty well too This is my third modern Triumph others owned were Speed Triple Mk1 (second sexiest bike on the planet) and a Tiger 955 ( not at all sexy!)
2003 Bonneville, 2018 Tiger 800, 2019 SpeedTwin, I've owned 7 Triumphs, not all trouble free, but they make me feel good and they have been the reason for meeting some great friends.
A 2005 Speed triple. I still think the pre "Dame Edna" ones are the most attractive. I wanted one from the moment they appeared on the scene, but couldn't afford one until recently. Love it.

Thunderbird 1600 because I have a flat learning curve and because my wife won't let me sell it...she likes the comfort. Tiger 955i because it was a cheap way to Mile munch and I do a lot of those. Speedmaster 865 because I couldn't find an America in nice enough nick at my price...and because I like the engines and find the roadster bikes too small for me at 6'3".
I ticked a lot of boxes (all verifiably accurate) because Triumph(s) tick(s) all my boxes. Cheesy and over simplified, but true. Edit... WHOOPS .... didn't notice you'd put Trident on a line with others so I missed that box! Damn.
Got three Triumphs but none of them are on the road at the moment 2000 955 Speed Triple 1973 T140 Triton 2011 Bonneville SE
