Hello all, first time poster here. I’m in a jam and hoping someone might have had a similar problem.

was riding my 2017 street twin with 7200 miles to work. Out of the blue, the engine sound muddled, felt a loss of power, or “misfiring”, with some backfiring. I’ve had it running this season for 6 weeks this season.
I posted on triumphrat forum, and it was suggested to change the spark plugs - or perhaps it’s the plug cap.

since the nearest triumph dealer is a two hour drive away, it’s difficult to get it there to get it looked at, or get parts. It’s Sunday, most stores are closed, so I’m waiting until tomorrow to try and get the ngk lmar8-9 plugs locally before ordering them online.

Other option is to have it towed to the dealership.

any thoughts or guidance much appreciated.

    thanks!

In addition, the pipe on the left side (when facing the bike) does not get hot after running it for a few minutes. I deduce it is running on one cylinder.
