    Hi All,

I recently purchased a 2013 Triumph Scrambler that I am trying to restore to a running condition. The bike is in excellent condition other than the engine, which is out of the bike but in one piece. The previous owner told me that the engine seized after overheating after an oil leak and that a new crankshaft/main bearing is all that was required.

I have split the cases and internally it looks in good condition. This was confirmed by Triumph technicians here in Johannesburg when I brought them the engine for inspection. I have a new crankshaft, gaskets and seals, but what else would you recommend I need? And what can I check/do to make sure the same issue doesn't reappear once I put the engine back together?

    Thanks.

Two new oil pumps and gears might be a good idea.
