Just picked up a 2008 bonnie looking to make it into a desert sled. Ive ordered some vintage motocross bars for the bike and that's about it....suggestions on all the other gear needed? Im looking at some tires...not sure what size .....Continental twinrduro tires , Do I need risers ? Tags? Fenders? Seat? I like the Zard 2 into one pipe but Im going to wait on that one since there are already a set of aftermarket pipes on the bike....Carbs and air filter? Keihin CR carbs...not sure I need them. Ordered some Worx steel tracker shocks for the rear but not sure about the front forks...Any help on my build would be highly appreciated. Cheers, Mike

Greetings, Michael, and welcome to the forum. Your build project sounds really interesting and it will be fun to follow. I'm sure there will be members here who will be able to help. I suggest you look at posting in a more specific forum and you may get more technical responses. I live in the desert but would have NO idea turn a Bonnie into a "desert sled"! In fact, I'm not sure I even know what that means. :joy: Hope you enjoy the forum! Good luck with your build.

love the thought of it! Cant wait to see progress. I recently bought a troublesome tt600 with intent of making it a 70/30 adv/stunt bike. I love the naked streamline look. The Bonnie's look so beautiful with a short tail. I live in a no emission county and really fancy the shorty pipes. I'm trying to figure out a bar solution for my clip on style bike. I'm 6'4" and the swept back, low bars and tucked riding design make long stretches uncomfortable. How are you configuring your rear end? Give us the details man! What do you invision?
