2003? Daytona 600 Stator

Hello everyone, first post here. I recently acquired a motor from a 2003? Daytona 600 and had some questions about the state of the stator. This motor came without a stator cover (one is on the way) and after taking the stator out It seems like it was turned across the magnets, damaging both them and the stator. Are both of the parts fine to run or should a new one be purchased? This is my first time dealing with a motorcycle, so I apologize for any dumb questions.
