2002 Speedo Problem, Help!!

Took the bike out yesterday for its pre MOT check, everything was perfect, until a mile away from home the speedo just stopped working.. registered 0 MPH for the ride back home, any ideas on where to look first??

I would be checking to see if the speedo cable is still working properly.

These had a digital speedo so check cables. A common issue was the speed sensor in the front wheel or the magnet. This thread may be of use:
