Afternoon All, So bought my first Triumph, and hoping this is only a hiccup in regards to these machines. There seems to be a clutch issue when the engine /oil is warm and changing gears takes a little more force than my previous bikes. Can anyone point me in direction of possible part replacements/upgrades and where to get them from. THanks Shaun
Shaun, I have a 1050 Sprint and the clutch and box are a touch heavier than the average. That said, first port of call is an oil change. I've found Silkolene semi synth to consistently improve gearchanging on all my bikes, so I'd recommend that.
ShaunW Yes good advice from. Good advice there from Smilinjack. Also try the cable make it is free flowing and routed right. Do keep with us with this one. Joe
Hi and welcome. The 1050 ST clutch is not the quieter. I had the same issue, changed the clutch set. It went way better to shift up gears, but to shift down, moreover after a long run on the same gear, I need a little gas bleep to unglue the disc. Now I'm used to that, and I forget about, but if I had to redo a clutch set change, I would also change the steel disc with.
Hi Shaun and welcome to the forum looking forward to seeing your ride pix I hope the clutch is better after the oil change and cable check
