The time has come where I have to part company with my beloved speed triple 955i.
Realisation has come since its last MOT which was may 2017 that I am just not using it as the mileage is going up every year by not a lot.
I have two bikes, this one and a sprint st 955i and the sprint wins on practicality so that one has to stay.
So, as for the speed, it has been rebuilt and repainted. Its an amazing bike and still one of the brutish 955's.
The MOT isnt due till May 2018 and she flew through the last one with no problems at all.
It's had brand new rear disc and pads, new head bearings, tyres which are barely scrubbed in, Beowulf radiator covers. Comes with the seat hump and pillion seat and grab rail. Starts on the button and is always on an optimiser.
It does have a couple of bad points, the petrol cap paint has reacted and has blemishes on it, this is relatively easy to sand back and paint or put a petrol cap sticker over the top which would hide it. It has an issue with its idle control valve which I believe is just the rubber vacuum hoses that connect to it, these are more than likely perished and are leaking slightly which causes it to cut out occasionally when blipping the throttle over 2000rpm. It doesn't always do it and have tested the idle control valve for faults by exchanging for the one off my other bike which is identical and it still behaves the same so a relatively cheap fix or learn to adapt like I have.
She has had a few owners (12 including me), however I have owned it and rebuilt it over the last two years and previous to that it was owned by a well known work colleague for a year so it has well known history for three years.
It is excellent for its age and at 32000 miles is relatively low.

Price is £1600, no silly offers

just discovered today that the fuel sender has stopped working, think its doing it on purpose cos I've advertised it for sale, lol.
its apparently a common problem and can be bought from triumph for £90 and an easy job to do.
Because of this I will reduce the price to £1500.
